Playing Catch-Up

It's hard to believe that Sofie's 7th birthday was just a little over a month ago. It seems like just yesterday she was the "Sofa-rito", swaddled up as tight as humanly possible. Now, she's busy hosting slumber parties for a small herd of her friends. The theme was High School Musical. For those of you who don't have kiddos in the Disney channel demographic, it's the new millenium answer to "Grease".
We crammed as many activities as possible into this party. The girls did their own decorating and played lawn Twister. After a dinner of cheese pizza and root beer Mike took the girls out in the backyard to roast marshmallows over the fire pit. Of course, as luck would have it, the girls had been outside 10 minutes and it started raining. The highlight for everyone was watching High School Musical on our living room wall. The girls got up and danced around, sang along and had a great time.
I think what was most amazing to me was the fact that we had 6 girls (one went home early) in our house for 12+ hours and there were no fights and no one cried. I like to think that my girls are more evolved than I was at that age! :)
